The Birth Specialists Ltd terms of use serve to protect both parties by preventing confusion, misunderstanding and to ensure we both act fairly. Please read carefully these terms and conditions of use which apply to your purchases and downloads and any orders thereof because by accessing the site you are agreeing to be legally bound by these terms. These terms may be updated by us from time to time without notice to you. You may wish to review this site periodically for changes to these terms.

The company was co-founded by three experienced Childbirth Educators, Hypnotherapists, NLP Master Practitioners, EFT Practitioners with over 15 years experience of helping women. We show mothers and their birthing partners the natural methods that work to keep birth as simple and as close to nature as can be.

Making A Purchase
A simple process - browse our store and add any items that you wish to buy into the shopping cart. After you have completed your selection, click on 'Checkout' and you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to complete the order.

When confirmation of order is received, this is to indicate that we have received your order. It does not indicate that a contract exists between us. We will indicate acceptance of your order and hence a contract between us, when we send you an invoice. We have included this term to protect us in the case that a mistake has been made in pricing, we have inadvertently under-priced goods or we are no longer able to supply a particular product for some reason. In the case of a change of price, we will always contact you first to ensure that the price is acceptable.

Cancellation Policy
Birth Secrets Childbirth Education Classes

Birth Secrets classes are services. Provision of the service is considered to have started when we send you course and venue information and forms and pre course questionnaires (if applicable).

If you book on a class and subsequently wish to cancel, refunds will only be given on the following basis and the following charges will be applicable.

Days notice of cancellation (no of days prior to course) given in writing or by email. The cancellation fee is applicable from the date of receipt of the written cancellation.

In the event of exceptional circumstances The Birth Specialists will examine each cancellation of short notice or postponement on a case by case basis and take into account any special circumstances surrounding the request for cancellation due before deciding whether to invoke the cancellation charge. We will also use our best endeavours to minimise any fee that is due.

Transfer Policy
If a course participant wishes to transfer to an alternative course a charge of £70 will be made. If an alternative date can not be found then the cancellation policy will apply.

We accept switch, cheques in GBP or credit card payment. If you are shopping from outside the UK, place your order and your card company will convert the transaction to your own currency. Please call us if you have any queries. We accept Switch, Visa, Mastercard, Amex and JCB. You may send your credit card information via phone, standard post or over the Internet.

Shipping And Handling
Our standard shipping is second class Royal Mail. All products are sent out using Royal mail second class. You can upgrade to first class or courier if requested for the UK mainland.

Postage charges

Order Fulfilment
Please note we process the orders for shipping usually at 3pm each day and therefore any orders placed after 12 noon (GMT) cannot be guaranteed to go out on that day although we do our best to process all orders placed up to 4pm each working day.

Delivery times

94% approximately of Royal Mail 1st Class deliveries arrive next day but this is not guaranteed.

Courier
Please note that when ordering by Courier, for orders before 12pm, it goes out that day for delivery NEXT BUSINESS DAY i.e if you order Monday you get it Tuesday etc but if you order Friday, the next business day is Monday and not Saturday. The service is a signed for service and you need to ensure that you are in on the day of the delivery. If you are not present the Courier will leave a card and then you either need to re-arrange delivery or pick it up from the depot. If you fail to collect it or you are absent when the courier calls again, a redelivery charge may apply.

Delivery Schedule
We dispatch our products within two to five working days of receiving your valid payment (In the case of downloads the link will be made available straight away) and typically 94% of customers get them in line with Royal Mails normal delivery times or courier. Couriered orders will arrive next working day so if it is a Friday you will get the order on Monday. Please contact us if you require special delivery. We are here to help.

In the UK estimated delivery can take up to 10 working days on all products in stock. For mainland Europe please allow 10 - 14 working days on all products in stock. For International orders please allow 2 - 4 weeks on all products in stock.

We will notify you immediately when your product is dispatched.

Back Orders
We hold stock of everything we sell is it is very unlikely that you will find a product is unavailable. In the event of this we will contact you to agree what we can do.

Tax Charges
All UK and EU orders are subject to the governments 15% Value Added Tax (VAT) . Orders from the rest of the world and the Channel Islands are zero rated for VAT so you are not charged UK VAT.

Credit Card Security
We use Sage Pay, separate secure payment provider which takes your credit card details and processes them for the amount on your order. We do not store your card details on our systems. The Birth Specialists Ltd website only takes your invoice and delivery address details. When the order is placed at our website, your name and invoice address details are passed to Sage Pay for payment processing. You enter your credit card numbers into Sage Pay secure site. We only get a payment confirmation, to say your payment has gone through, we do not receive any card details.

If you want to order and you have a problem, you can call us on 0800 848 8745 between 9.00 and 17:00 Monday to Friday and we can take your order over the phone. You can also pay by Cheque or by BACS.

We offer a 30 day full money back guarantee if you feel that you have not benefitted from using our products where offered. This guarantee and this contract is valid up to and including the date of the birth of your baby.

Returns Policy
We are confident that you will achieve positive benefits by using our products that you purchase. If you are ever unhappy with any product purchased from TheBirthspecialists.com, you can return it to us in its original condition (or in the case of downloadable items, contact us on info@thebirthspecialists.com or call on 0800 848 8745) within 30 days of purchase, and we'll issue a full refund on your purchase. This process can take up to 3 weeks.
